A ride that ends when you arrive

A point-to-point ride, also called a transfer or a one-way trip, takes you from one address to another with a professional chauffeur. The ride ends at your destination, and the price is quoted for that trip, covering the vehicle and chauffeur.

It's the simplest way to book, and it fits more of the Bay Area than people expect: a dinner reservation, a hotel move, a ride to the office, a concert at Chase Center or a trip up to Sonoma. Rides to and from a flight work the same way, with a few extra details covered on our airport transfers page.

Help your chauffeur find the right door

San Francisco addresses can be tricky. Large hotels on Nob Hill and around Union Square often have more than one entrance, Financial District towers have lobbies on different streets, and some homes on Telegraph Hill and Russian Hill sit on stairways or narrow lanes.

Give us the full street address, then add anything that saves time: the entrance you'll use, a gate code, a loading zone or a landmark at the curb. We confirm where to meet before the trip.

Pickups include 15 minutes of free waiting time. Free waiting time starts at the scheduled pickup time you choose. Additional waiting time and extra hours are charged per minute at the hourly rate for your vehicle class.

Choosing your pickup time

Work back from the time you need to arrive. A 9 am meeting, a curtain time or a dinner reservation is a fixed point, and the pickup time should leave room for traffic, parking and the walk from the curb.

Some routes change more than others through the day. The Bay Bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge and Highway 101 down the Peninsula slow down at commute hours, and the streets around Chase Center, Oracle Park and Moscone Center fill up on event days. Put the time you need to be there in the notes, and we can talk through the timing when we send your quote.

If your plans change on the day, call us at (415) 881-6199.

Know the route already?

Send the pickup, the drop-off and the time, and we'll reply with a vehicle and a price.

When the car should wait instead

A point-to-point ride ends at your destination. If you need the car again later, there are two ways to plan it.

Add a return ride

Use this when you know when you'll be done. Dinner in North Beach that ends around 10 pm, then back to your hotel: book a round trip and we quote both rides together.

Switch to hourly

Use this when the evening has several stops or no fixed end. With hourly service, the car and your chauffeur stay with you, from a 3-hour minimum.

Compare hourly and point-to-point

Rides that cross the Bay or leave the city

We drive in all nine Bay Area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma. A one-way ride can start in one county and end in another: San Francisco to Oakland over the Bay Bridge, Marin to the Peninsula over the Golden Gate Bridge, or San José to Walnut Creek. The service area page lists the cities in each county.

Longer one-way rides, like San Francisco to a hotel in Napa or Sonoma, work well when you have your own way home or a return ride booked. For a day of tastings with the car staying with you, see wine country tours.

Pick a car for the ride

Sedans suit one or two travelers, SUVs suit small groups, and the Luxury Sprinter seats up to 14. Passenger and bag numbers are separate maximums. A full car leaves less room for suitcases, so tell us your bag sizes and we'll choose the right vehicle with you. Compare every class on the fleet page.

Point-to-point car service questions

Is a point-to-point ride the same as a transfer?

Yes. Point-to-point, transfer and one-way trip all mean one pickup and one destination. The ride ends when you arrive.

Can I add a stop to pick someone up?

Yes. Add up to five stops in the quote form and we'll include them in your price. List them in order, with full addresses.

Will my chauffeur wait at my destination?

A point-to-point ride ends when you arrive. If you'll need the car again, add a return ride, or book hourly service so the car stays with you.

How long will my chauffeur wait at pickup?

Airport pickups include 45 minutes of free waiting time. Other pickups include 15 minutes. Free waiting time starts at the scheduled pickup time you choose. Additional waiting time and extra hours are charged per minute at the hourly rate for your vehicle class.

Can you take us across the Bay Bridge or up to Marin?

Yes. We drive in all nine Bay Area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma. Rides between counties are quoted the same way as rides within the city.

Can I book a ride for my parents or a guest?

Yes. Choose For someone else in the quote form and add the passenger's name and phone number. We confirm the trip with you and confirm the meeting point before the trip.

Can you provide a child seat?

Request youth booster seats, or infant and child safety seats, in the quote form. We confirm them with the price in your quote.

Can I change my plans after booking?

Call us at (415) 881-6199 with the change, and we'll confirm whether the vehicle and time still work. Cancellation rules are on our cancellation page.

How much does a point-to-point ride cost?

We quote every trip individually, so you see the price before anything is booked. It depends on the vehicle, the distance or hours, the date and time, and any stops, and it includes gratuity, tolls and parking.

Where are you headed?

Tell us the route and the time. We'll reply with a vehicle and a price.
