Where SFO sits, and why it matters for your ride
San Francisco International Airport is on the bay shore south of the city, in San Mateo County, between South San Francisco, San Bruno and Millbrae. The main route into San Francisco is Highway 101, and the drive changes a lot with the time of day, so we plan each pickup around your flight rather than a fixed travel time.
SFO has four terminals: Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and the International Terminal. Your airline decides which one you use, so add the airline and flight number to your request and we'll plan the pickup at the right one. Flying into Oakland or San José instead? Compare all three on our Bay Area airport transfers page.
Arrivals
Meeting your chauffeur at SFO
Your chauffeur can meet you at the curb or inside at arrivals. To be met inside, request meet & greet in the quote form. Meet & greet is an extra charge, shown in your quote.
Either way, we confirm where you'll meet before your trip. Turn your phone on when you land, collect your bags and go to the spot we agreed. If you can't find it, call your chauffeur or us before you walk out to the curb.
International arrivals take longer, with passport control, baggage claim and customs before you reach the arrivals hall. Tell us you're on an international flight, and choose a pickup time that leaves room for it.
Airport pickup checklistFree waiting and flight changes at SFO
Airport pickups include 45 minutes of free waiting time. Other pickups include 15 minutes. Free waiting time starts at the scheduled pickup time you choose. Additional waiting time and extra hours are charged per minute at the hourly rate for your vehicle class.
Here's how that works in practice. Your flight is due at 6:00 pm and you're checking two bags, so you choose a 6:30 pm pickup. Free waiting runs from 6:30, which gives you until 7:15 before extra time applies.
Flight delayed or rebooked? Send the new flight number to info@sf.limo or call us at (415) 881-6199. We're available 24/7.

Getting to SFO for your flight
For a departure, choose the time you want to be picked up, not your flight time. Leave room for check-in, bag drop, security and traffic on the way, and follow your airline's advice on how early to arrive. International flights usually need more time.
Pickups at a hotel or home include 15 minutes of free waiting time, so have bags packed and by the door. Tell us your airline, and your chauffeur drops you at the departures curb for your terminal.
Flying out at dawn? We're available 24/7, so you can request a pickup at any hour. Coming back through SFO later? Choose Round trip in the quote form, add your return date and time, and we'll quote both rides together.
Choose a car for your SFO transfer
A solo traveler with a carry-on and a family of five with six suitcases need very different cars. Pick the class that fits, or tell us the group and the bags and we'll suggest one. The vehicle and luggage guide helps you count.

Groups landing at SFO
Conference teams heading to Moscone Center, wedding guests bound for the city or wine country, families with strollers and car seats: a group is easier to manage in one vehicle. The Luxury Sprinter seats up to 14 passengers with up to 14 bags.
Passenger and bag numbers are separate maximums. A full car leaves less room for suitcases, so tell us your bag sizes and we'll choose the right vehicle with you.
If people land on different flights, list every flight number in your notes. We'll explain in your quote how we can handle it, for example one pickup after the last flight or separate cars.
